Sweet Auburn Barbecue (BBQ) is celebrating the last day of summer with a Hawaiian end of season luau Saturday, September 20. Kicking off at 11 a.m., the all-day party will begin with a barbecue buffet before transitioning into an unofficial Music Midtown after party.

 

The festive buffet will feature signature items from Sweet Auburn BBQ’s Asian-inspired menu, including wu-tang and coconut lemongrass wings in addition to dishes like guava barbecue glazed smoked chickenpineapple barbecue glazed pork,house luau fried rice and Hawaiian meat pops cooked up specifically for the event. Tropical cocktails, “surfing pig on Ponce” and “Hawaiian mouth filter,” crafted by bar managerAron Faubel will be available as well. The prix fixe buffet will be available for $20 per guest, exclusive of tax and gratuity. In addition to the buffet, Sweet Auburn’s a la carte menu will be offered throughout the day; both dining options will be available from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., when the kitchen will close, preparing for the late-night party.

 

Starting at 11 p.m., the party will heat up when DJ Mike Zarin (our fav DJ we mentioned from the Bentley Brunches) laying sunny, feel-good jams. Sweet Auburn’s proximity to Piedmont Park makes the dance party a fun destination for revelers leaving Music Midtown.
