Travel Beauty Series

The Night Before

If you travel a lot like me, then you know how important it is to keep your skin well taken care of before, during, and after flying. This short, but sweet series will take you through my routine of taking care of my skin while traveling. Being in the air can take a toll on your skin not only because of the altitude but, because the air on the plane in recycled. For a flight of four hours or more with the same air from everyone in a tight space, you can see how the air isn’t the best for your skin. I have a routine in place that ensures my skin is well taken care of while I’m traveling.

The day before I hop on a plane I make sure my skin is travel ready. I have oily skin as I have stated before, but my routine can work with any skin type. Before I go to bed, I’m sure to use the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask. Before I begin to explain the benefits, I just want my readers to understand that all skin types need to take care of their skin when traveling. With this Cucumber Mask my skin feels so moisturized and youthful. It’s soft to the touch and easy to manage. This extra boost of moisture ensures that my skin will be able to withstand any high altitude no matter the destination.

To seal the moisture in I use the Josie Maran Argan Oil. This makes my skin so radiant! I always thought oils were useless (because I have oily skin) but this heals my skin. I don’t have dry patches and the oil absorbs into my skin and does its magic. When I wake up my skin is soft, plump, and most importantly doesn’t feel oily. I use this oil every night after I wash my face. I have noticed a difference in the texture of my skin and its overall appearance. This is the first step on your travel journey and wherever the world might take you.
