Atlanta United 2 will face Memphis 901 FC Wednesday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7:30 p.m. EST on ESPN+.
ATL UTD 2 hosts Memphis 901 FC for the second meeting between the two teams. Atlanta won the inaugural meeting 1-0 on April 10 at AutoZone Park as Kevin Barajas netted the game-winner for his first professional goal.
Atlanta fell 3-2 to Hartford Athletic on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Dillon Stadium. After falling behind 1-0, ATL UTD 2 responded with two goals within two minutes in the second half to take the lead. Andrew Carleton scored in the 57th minute and then assisted on Brandon Vazquez’s goal in the 59th minute to put Atlanta ahead. However, Wojciech Wojcik scored two goals off the bench late to give Hartford all three points.
Memphis travels to Kennesaw in hopes of ending a five-match winless streak. Tampa Bay Rowdies defeated Memphis 5-0 last Saturday at Al Lang Stadium. ATL UTD 2 sits one point ahead of Memphis 901 FC in the Eastern Conference standings as both sides push for the final playoff spot. It will also be a welcome home for Atlanta United’s Lagos Kunga who is on loan with the visitors.
