Music Monday: KRANE & Boombox Cartel, ANSON, Groove Armada, R3HAB, and The Elwins

Studio auteurs KRANE & Boombox Cartel pack a swoon-worthy punch of flavor on their Dim Mak collaboration “All Again.”

“I wanted to give fans something they wouldn’t expect from me and Boombox,” explains KRANE. “Once we got the writing down, our ways of working and styles just gelled and it came together really fast.

Los Angeles-based Alternative Rock artist ANSON is set to bridge early 2000’s emo-rock with today’s mainstream stratosphere. With a distinct sound and message crafted by songwriter Anson Li, ANSON offers an array of introspective songs about life and discovering who you are. Check out their new single “Runaway” below.

Heavily influenced by groups like Taking Back Sunday, Mayday Parade, Jimmy Eat World and Paramore, ANSON offers a bold blend of catchy choruses and deep lyrical content to bring a refreshing sound to an aged genre with hopes to rekindle the love of emo-rock to fans who have strayed away.

After a ten year hiatus since their last album release, Tom Findlay and Andy Cato have finally released the next Groove Armada LP.  The eleven-track ‘Edge Of The Horizon’ is out via BMG.

Blending a melting pot of styles, ‘Edge of the Horizon’ encapsulates the diverse myriad of sonic influences that have informed the Groove Armada sound past, present, and future. The album shows how Groove Armada’s flair for merging electro elements with the infectious energy of a live band remains as strong as ever. Tom and Andy cut loose, invoking influences which include LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, Caribou, and Tame Impala.

R3HAB has lent the talented Steven Malcolm and legendary Shaggy his production skills and remixed their recent single “Fuego” into a dance-hip-hop-reggae smash, which dropped in October on Word Ent./Curb Rec.

With this remix R3HAB continues his hot streak, as only in 2020 he officially remixed the likes of LAY, Wafia, Jason Derulo, for King & Country, Gabrielle Aplin, Julie Bergan, REIK, Gregory Porter, Steve Aoki, Liam Payne, to name a few.

Indie Rockers, The Elwins, are thrilled to release their new single “Hung Up” that is out now. “Hung Up” is featured on their new album IV, which was released on October 23rd on Pink Eye Recordings/Anti-Fragile.

The band says, “We are very stoked to be getting this song and video out in the world. The initial idea for the tune was written near the end of the recording process of our last record but when we were talking about the kind of vibes we wanted to explore on the new album this one seemed to fit in with the other songs.”
