Atlanta United 2 will face FC Tulsa for its home opener on Wednesday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
ATL UTD 2 will take on FC Tulsa for its first meeting of the 2021 season. Atlanta is coming off a 2-2 draw against OKC Energy FC last Sunday. Matías Benítez netted his first goal for the club in his debut, and Homegrown Tyler Wolff secured the late equalizer for his first professional goal. Connor Stanley also made his ATL UTD 2 debut in Sunday’s match.
FC Tulsa currently stands first overall in the Central Division and is looking to stay undefeated. In its last match, Tulsa defeated Indy Eleven 2-0 on May 8. Joaquin Rivas recorded both goals in the match to bring him to four goals in three games this season. Goalkeeper Sean Lewis has been a consistent presence for Tulsa with two clean sheets in three appearances.
Players to watch: Matías Benítez, Tyler Wolff, and Ajani Fortune. Tomorrow’s match will mark the return of former ATLUTD2 man Modou Jadama. It also marks the first ever meeting between the two clubs and it is the first of four matchups this season.
