All-new episodes of TV One’s original docu-series, “UNSUNG” and “UNCENSORED” debut this Sunday, April 9. “UNSUNG” takes the lead by highlighting the “Best In Black”. Kicking off with some of the most talented and influential in the sports industry at 9 p.m. ET/8C followed by “UNCENSORED” featuring R&B singer Marques Houston at 10 p.m. ET/9C.
UNSUNG PRESENTS: BEST IN BLACK ATHLETES
TV One’s award-winning series is celebrating its 15th anniversary by highlighting some of the entertainment industry’s top performers. Unsung Presents Best In Black: Athletes features portraits of trailblazing athletes, from Jesse Owens and Bill Russell to Venus Williams and Laila Ali, who helped change the game and, ultimately, change the world.
“UNSUNG,” one of the network’s longest-running and award-winning series, highlights the careers and explores the personal lives of some of the most talented and influential Black artists, performers, and musicians in history.

“UNSUNG” is narrated by actor Gary Anthony Williams and is executive produced by Frank Sinton and Arthur Smith of A. Smith & Co. Productions. Mark Rowland, Kysha Mounia and Jamecia Blount also serve as Executive Producers. For TV One, Austyn Biggers is the SVP of Programming and Jason Ryan is the Executive Producer in Charge of Production.

Directly following “UNSUNG PRESENTS BEST IN BLACK ” is another episode of the hit, autobiographical series “UNCENSORED”, which explores the lives of popular celebrities and personalities as they provide first-hand accounts of their successes and the obstacles they faced throughout their careers. This episode highlights industry veteran Marques Houston.
UNCENSORED: Marques Houston
Marques Houston entered the homes in the ’90s with the popular sitcom “Sister, Sister” as the popular, jilted “Lil’ Roger”. Houston was also the lead singer of the R&B boy group Immature which he joined at the age of eight. That led to an extensive career with 13 albums and starring roles in hit movies and tv shows. In this week’s episode, he gets uncensored as he recalls his 30-year journey as a multi-faceted entertainer.
