Atlanta United returns to action Sunday when it travels to the West Coast to take on the Seattle Sounders FC at Lumen Field. The match is set to kick off at 10:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass, while fans can also tune in to radio calls on 92.9 The Game, Sirius XM FC (Channel 157), and La Mejor.

MLS Season Pass features every match of the regular season and Audi MLS Cup Playoffs with consistent match times and no blackouts. The service also features MLS Countdown, the live pre-game show before every match, live halftime reports, MLS 360 — a fast-moving whip-around show that will provide live look-ins and analysis from all the key moments from every match, and MLS Wrap-up, the live post-game show. All matches feature commentary in English or Spanish, while matches involving Canadian teams will also have French commentary. Fans in the U.S. and Canada also have the option to select their home team’s radio for broadcast audio on the Apple TV app where available.

  • Atlanta holds a 1-1-3 all-time record against Seattle in MLS regular season play: 3-1-4 at home and 5-2-3 on the road. This will be the only meeting of the season between the two sides as Atlanta looks for its first-ever win at Seattle.
  • Thiago Almada, who will be donning his new No. 10 jersey for the first time, leads the league in chances created with 65. His 18 goal contributions (8 goals, 10 assists) rank him in the top-five in MLS as league play resumes.
  • Atlanta is tied for the league lead with nine goals from outside the box this season. The team’s all-time single-game record is 10 goals from outside the box back in 2018.
  • Miles Robinson makes his return to MLS action after featuring for the USMNT throughout the summer. The center back has not played an MLS match since June 10. He leads the league in Duel Success Rate at 73.8% (min. 100 duels) and should provide a boost to Atlanta’s backline.
  • Seattle comes into Sunday’s match in fourth place in the Western Conference, just one point behind second place. The Sounders, like Atlanta, did not advance to the Leagues Cup 2023 knockout stage. They have just one win in their last five matches across all competitions. The team features quality players across the pitch. The attack is led by USMNT player Jordan Morris who has nine goals, while midfielders Nicolas Lodeiro and Leo Chu are tied for the team lead with eight assists each.
  • There are several connections between the two teams. On the pitch, midfielder Ozzie Alonso spent over a decade playing for Seattle before joining Atlanta in 2022. Off the pitch, head coach Gonzalo Pineda was a player and assistant coach for Seattle before joining Atlanta. President and CEO Garth Lagerwey spent several successful seasons as Sounders general manager and president of soccer before joining Atlanta prior to this season. All three will be making their first return to Lumen Field since joining the Five Stripes.
