Hello everyone! If you love Jazz music you are in for a treat! New Orleans! is the third performance of the Jazz Roots: A Larry Rosen Jazz Series. The 2013-2014 Jazz Roots show is Thursday January 30, 2014 at 8:00 pm.

New Orleans is the birthplace of Jazz, Blues, Gospel and many other forms of music we love today. What could be better than spending a night listening to jazz inspired by this great city? Aaron Neville and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band have created a show with all of the soul and spiciness that New Orleans has to offer.

Neville has had many accomplishments throughout his career: his first hit single was number one on R&B charts for five weeks, he easily moves between solo and group work and is a member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band was created in 1977 with the soul of New Orleans infused in. The DDBB prides itself on the fact that the band lets the character of each member shine through to create unforgettable music. With Neville and the DDBB sharing the stage it will be a night the audience will never forget.

Like all Jazz Roots performances the best part is the opportunity for the kids. 200 high school students from around Atlanta will attend the show, experience the sound check, and participate in a pre-performance Q&A with the band.

So be sure to hit the Cobb Energy Centre this Thursday 1/30/14 at 8pm. Tickets range from $30-$89. We hope to see you there! 😉
