The Backstreet Boys DNA Tour came to Atlanta last night to a sold-out crowd at State Farm Arena.
The group, formed in Orlando in 1993, consists of AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell. This Quintet has sold over 100 million records worldwide and makes them the best-selling boy band and one of the world’s best selling artists.
This famous and still relevant boy band thrilled the sold-out arena full of beautiful, energized ladies standing all night reciting lyrics and hitting famous dance moves. Nick Carter said, “This place is sold out tonight! So does this mean you still love The Backstreet Boys?” (the crowd hollers in response) “Really? You do know we love you too and we miss you! I am seeing some new faces and I am seeing some faces we have not seen before. If you have been a fan for the past 26 years make some noise! We encourage crazy behavior at a Backstreet Boys concert!” And crazy it was as I saw a few bra’s start to swing.
Some of the featured songs included new songs off their 2019 DNA Album which debuted at number one, more than two decades after the group formed. Here’s a handful of songs we heard last night:
Everyone (As an intro), I Wanna Be With You, The Call, Don’t Want You Back, Nobody, Else, (Brian solo), New Love, Get Down (You’re the One for Me), Chateau (Howie solo), Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely, Incomplete, Undone, More Than That, The Way It Was (Nick solo), Chances, Shape of My Heart, Drowning, Passionate (Kevin and AJ duet)
Quit Playing Games (With My Heart) and As Long as You Love Me.
The concert was simply amazing. The crowd couldn’t get enough and clearly wanted more. For an encore, they performed “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” and “Larger Than Life.”
