Music Monday: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, James Vickery, Farius, Serena Ryder, and JONI

Harajuku icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu sprinkles kawaii vocals over a neon-soaked soundscape on her J-Pop single “Gum Gum Girl,” produced by Yasutaka Nakata. Kyary’s first single of 2021 arrives on her birthday and coincides with her 10th anniversary as an artist.

Following the recent release of his outstanding EPs ‘Overture’ and ‘Until Morning’, the fast-rising male face to the UK’s R&B scene James Vickery has returned to deliver his stunning Maths Times Joy-produced single ‘Somewhere, Out There’, the first single from his forthcoming debut album.

Farius’s involvement with the Enhanced label has taken many forms. What started as a production advice/consultation position has since turned into Farius becoming one of the main A&Rs at the label, as well as one of the leading artists in the progressive trance scene.  In 2020, he released an exclusive Pride Month mix with Apple Music, and became a household name in Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy and Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance. 

Six-time Juno Award winner Serena Ryder is ecstatic to release her new single “Better Now” along with the music video featured on ______. “Better Now” is the final single from Serena Ryder’s upcoming album,​ The Art of Falling Apart – out March 12, 2021, vinyls and CDs now available for pre-order HERE. The 10-track, 25-minute project chronicles Serena’s years of struggle with mental health and her journey from mental illness to wellness. “Better Now” highlights her venture towards sobriety.

JONI (Joni Fatora) is thrilled to release her new single “Lost in Space” that’s out now. “Lost in Space” is off Joni’s new EP Orchid Room that is to be released on February 26th.
