Enjoy fruity and creamy flavored pops all summer long at Atlantic Station. Steel City Pops, a unique popsicle company with locations in Texas, Kentucky, and Alabama, will operate a vending cart on the property from May 15 through September. This marks Steel City Pop’s first appearance in Atlanta with plans of a storefront coming soon.

Steel City Pops is known for its all-natural handmade popsicles that come in a variety of unique flavors like avocado, hibiscus, and pineapple jalapeno. The popsicles are divided into two categories: fruity and creamy. Creamy pops are dairy based and have an ice cream like smoothness to their texture while the fruity pops are made with 100 percent real fruit, are non-dairy and vegan-friendly. All popsicles are gluten free and range from 100 – 200 calories.

Owner Jim Watkins and his family opened their first Steel City Pops storefront in Birmingham, Alabama. Steel City Pops quickly became a community staple and has expanded to four neighboring states with 22 locations in just four years. Despite its ever-growing ventures, Steel City Pops remains a community-driven business by having each location source ingredients locally and providing customers with a rotating menu to ensure only the freshest, seasonal ingredients are used in each popsicle (creamy and fruity pops are $3, cookie pops are $4.50).

Additionally, Steel City Pops values the hard work and sacrifice of public servants and offers every public servant with ID or in uniform, whether they be a police officer, firefighter or member of the military, a free popsicle as an expression of gratitude.
