Music Monday: Jai Wolf, The String Cheese Incident, Trey Anastasio, Gianluca Vacchi, Reason|Define, Amon Tobin, and Party Favor x KingJet

Indie-electronic artist Jai Wolf shares a new single today, “Better Apart,” featuring rising indie-pop artist, Dresage. The track is danceable, extremely catchy, and Jai’s most personal to date.

It has been a good few years for Jai Wolf. After millions of streams on his perfect indie-dance anthem “Indian Summer,” 72 million to be exact, festival sets from Coachella to India, and co-signs from the reputable ODESZA and Skrillex, Jai Wolf has announced his long-awaited debut album, The Cure To Loneliness.

The String Cheese Incident is celebrating 25 years as a band all year long. To keep the party going, SCI is thrilled to release their newest single and video “I Want You.”

For their 25th anniversary year, the band is hitting the road, for a limited number of tour dates, including stops in Aspen, St. Louis, New Orleans, Port Chester, Louisville and a three-night run at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO. The band will also be playing at a handful of festivals including DelFest, Electric Forest, Peach Fest, and FloydFest, plus more dates to be announced!

Trey Anastasio has announced the release of an all-new LP, GHOSTS OF THE FOREST. The album’s title track can be heard now at all DSPs. On May 24, a 2x 180-gram vinyl release, foil numbered with limited edition rainbow foil packaging will be released. The album is available for pre-order now and for digital download beginning Friday, April 12.

GHOSTS OF THE FOREST was recorded over the span of just a few days at the Barn Studio in Vermont in April 2018. The record was produced by Anastasio and engineered and mixed by Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Jack White). Rolling Stone described the album as full of “psychedelic guitar liftoffs, ambitious arrangements, and deeply personal lyrics.” The Ghosts Of The Forest Tour sold out despite no released music and features production design from Abigail Holmes (Talking Heads, Roger Waters).

After conquering the world on so many different fronts, Italian celebrity Gianluca Vacchi decided to follow his dreams in music, and it seems he couldn’t have made a better decision. After releasing his music on a variety of other labels, the Instagram star and emerging musician made his debut on Armada Deep with a track that’s as colorful, vibrant and extravagant as his lifestyle and personality: ‘Come On And Show ‘Em’.

Entrepreneur. Social media star. DJ. Producer. Gianluca Vacchi is a man who triumphs whatever he puts his hands to. His athletic, hedonistic, daredevil playboy antics on social media made him a star whose charisma people were naturally drawn to, and after amassing an enormous following, he decided to follow his dreams in music. Having made his passion and commitment for music clear by announcing the launch of his DJ and production career, he has quickly become a major force in the music industry —and he’s only just getting started.

All-female hard-rock/post-hardcore band Reason|Define release energetic music video for “Inferno”. The video gives an inside look into their world on tour and the live music experience. Mosh pits and headbanging invite fans to enjoy the band’s anthems with their friends and fellow music lovers.

The video transports audiences back to the roots of what hard-rock music is about: having fun, letting go, and surrounding yourself with others that enjoy the same things as you. Reason|Define create a community where the music is central, regardless of personal background. By showing what fans can expect at a live show, it gives them a chance to see how they can interact with this community and become a part of the Reason|Define fan base and family.

Following up on the evocatively sinister soundscapes of ‘On A Hilltop Sat The Moon’, Amon Tobin returns with ‘Vipers Follow You’, the second single from his forthcoming studio album Fear in a Handful of Dust (released April 26 on Amon Tobin’s newly minted Nomark label).

‘Vipers Follow You’ seamlessly melds organic and electronic elements into an uncanny atmosphere of subliminal dread, and along with first single ‘On A Hilltop Sat The Moon,’ sets forth a path of what lies ahead. ‘This instrument is a hybrid of sorts. A strung thing played percussively like a tabla. It distorts and almost breaks sometimes. I play it quite badly but I hope with some feeling,’ Tobin says.

On “Dreams,” Party Favor teamed up with LA-based hip-hop artist KingJet. The track is third single from Party Favor’s forthcoming debut album “Layers.” After “Reach For Me” with graves and “Work It Out” with GTA, “Dreams” ft. KingJet is Party Favor’s third single from the forthcoming debut album “Layers”, showing its wider spectrum of sounds. The LP will also feature Juicy J, A$AP Ferg, Rich The Kid, among others.
